USING YOUR SAUNA

After assembling your sauna and before using it, turn the temperature to 60C and run the sauna for one hour.  Then shut it off and leave the door open for 24 hours. This will get rid of the "new" smell and condition the wood.

When you turn your sauna on a series of lights will come on.  The temperature indicator will show you the present temperature in the sauna, probably about 21 degrees. Set the temperature + or - button to 60.  It will revert back to the present temperature after a couple seconds.  This will keep the infrared heaters working constantly without shutting off during your sauna.  If you set that temperature lower than your sweating temperature, (about 40 - 50) then the thermostat can shut off for 5 or 10 minutes and you will not have the benefit of the infrared rays during that time.  By setting the temperature higher than your tolerable sweating temperature the infrared heaters will run constantly and you can regulate the inside temperature by opening the door slightly when you are too warm.

Press the function button and then the + or - buttons to set the time period for your sauna, (60 minutes, 45 minutes, etc), the CD volume and treble and bass. Now your sauna is set up and all you have to do is press the ON button each time you want a sauna.

A good time to enter the sauna is when the temperature is about 35 degrees. This allows your body to warm up before you start sweating. Take a large bottle of purified water with you and drink at least a liter of water for a 1 hour sauna.  Place towels on the seat and on the floor to absorb the moisture. It is best not to wear any clothing in the sauna to get the full benefit of the infrared rays which will penetrate the skin about 2 inches in depth.

The timer will beep for one minute when the time indicator reaches 5 minutes.  After your sauna shuts off, sit there for a while to cool down. When you have stopped sweating, dry off, have a shower, and enjoy your day.
