Working  primarily in Watercolor, Oils, Carving  Soapstone and dabbling in mixed Media and found  Earth media… Hedy strives to share her love of wildlife and the Native Spirit. As Artist and Culturalist with Cathedral of the Earth Ceremonies.

 

Hedy loves to observe nature in “its own quiet solitude”. Through extensive field studies she enters the natural domain of her subjects, often having spent days alone in the northern bush within “natures own timeless consistency”.

 

Not always creating forms within the boundaries of imagery, thoughts become shaped in words also.

 

Hedy has written many pages within journals, which she now wishes to form into paintings of a different expression.

 

Some of these writings are already familiar in poems that were shared on her older website. In the near future it will be put in book form; currently being written during her sabbatical..

He sent certain Animals

To tell Men,

that he showed himself

through the Beasts..

and from the Stars

and the Moon,

Man should Learn.

Tirawa spoke to Man
